Schmersal at the international CemProducer conference

A veritable ‘tag-team’ of speakers, Heiko Bach and Tobias Keller from Schmersal, spoke at the CemProducer Conference 2023 in Munich in March about safety approaches and devices around bulk material conveyor systems. 
Conveyor systems have many associated hazards, including crushing, electrical, thermal, fire and explosion hazards. Retrofitting safety features can improve system availability, put the equipment into conformity with current safety guidelines and can extend equipment lifetimes and reduce overall investment costs. Optical scanning devices can be used to detect belt damage, further improving conveyor belt safety.
